PRETRIP ESSENTIALS

HEALTH & SAFETY

Before travelling to Nepal, we recommend consulting your doctor regarding your general health, particularly if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. No special vaccinations are required for most travellers, although routine immunisations are recommended. Bring any personal prescription medications, along with a small first-aid kit containing basic essentials. Medical facilities are readily available in major cities but may be limited in remote mountain areas. Staying hydrated, eating balanced meals, and getting sufficient rest will help you enjoy a safe and comfortable journey.

ALTITUDE & ACCLIMATIZATION

This tour reaches its highest point at Muktinath (3,800 m / 12,467 ft). While most travellers adjust without difficulty, some may experience mild altitude-related symptoms such as headache, fatigue, or shortness of breath. To minimise the risk, drink plenty of water, avoid excessive alcohol consumption, eat light meals, and allow your body time to adapt. If you experience any discomfort, inform your guide immediately so appropriate assistance can be provided.

WEATHER & CONDITIONS

Nepal's diverse landscapes create a wide variety of weather conditions throughout this journey. Expect pleasant temperatures in Kathmandu, Nagarkot, and Pokhara, cool and dry weather in the Mustang region, and warm, subtropical conditions in Chitwan National Park. Weather in the mountains can change quickly, with cooler evenings and chilly mornings, especially at higher elevations. Dressing in layers is the best way to stay comfortable throughout the tour.

WHAT TO PACK

Pack comfortable, lightweight clothing suitable for varying climates. We recommend a warm jacket or fleece, thermal layers, comfortable walking trousers, a waterproof jacket, sturdy walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, gloves, and a reusable water bottle. A small umbrella or rain jacket is useful during the monsoon season. Don't forget your camera, charger, power bank, personal toiletries, and any required medications.

DAYPACK ESSENTIALS

For daily excursions and sightseeing, carry a small daypack with your water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, personal medications, travel documents, snacks, and an extra layer of clothing. Keeping your daypack organised and lightweight will make your daily activities more comfortable and enjoyable.

EMERGENCY SUPPORT

Your safety is our highest priority. Our experienced guides are trained in basic first aid and are prepared to assist in the event of illness or injury. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical treatment, emergency evacuation, and trip interruptions. Should an emergency arise, we will coordinate the necessary medical assistance and evacuation arrangements to ensure you receive prompt and appropriate care.
